Nudge HQ Privacy Policy

Nudge HQ is a Chrome extension that helps parents monitor their children's Canvas LMS assignments. We take privacy seriously, especially because this tool is used by families with minors.

What data we access

The extension accesses the following data from Canvas LMS while you are logged in:

• Upcoming assignment titles, due dates, and course names
• Missing submission information
• Planner items
• Active course enrollment information

How we use the data

All data fetched from Canvas is stored locally in your browser's localStorage on your own device. It is used solely to display assignment information in the Nudge HQ dashboard.

Data sharing

We do not sell, share, transmit, or store your data on any external server. No data ever leaves your device. There is no cloud storage, no analytics, no telemetry, and no third-party data sharing of any kind.

Authentication

The extension uses your existing Canvas browser session to access assignment data. No passwords or API tokens are stored by the extension.

Children's privacy

This extension is designed for use by parents monitoring their children's academic assignments. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children independently — all data access occurs through the parent's supervised use of the extension.

Data retention

Data is stored in your browser's localStorage and can be cleared at any time by clearing your browser data or uninstalling the extension.
